  • Nic Poole

    Nic Poole is a graduate of the University of Witwatersrand with degrees in Commerce and Accounting, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA). He formerly worked at EY and JP Morgan in London, and has managed CGOF since 2019, with previous experience in the Fund dating back to 2003. He is also Founder and Director of Inverson, a South Africa-based investment group with holdings across wildlife, farming, property and hospitality.

  • Adriaan van der Merwe

    Adriaan van der Merwe is a graduate with degrees in Accounting and Investment Management from the University of Stellenbosch. Adriaan is registered as a certified FSP Representative according to FAIS Act of South Africa. He formerly worked at Investment Data Services and Capital Land Asset Management in South Africa, and has been part of the management team of CGOF since 2019.

    Camillo Padulli

    Camillo Padulli is a graduate of Yale University, where he studied History with a concentration in the Global Economy, and has previously worked as a consultant for the World Bank. He has been working as a macro analyst for the fund since 2025, and leads the fund’s exposure to emerging and frontier markets.

  • Amy Poole

    Amy Poole is a graduate in Commerce (Math & Economics) from the University of Stellenbosch, and has worked as a quantitative analyst at the Fund since 2023, leading our statistical research.

  • Benyamin Atabani

    Benya Atabani is an undergraduate at the University of Oxford and Bocconi University, where he studies History and Modern Languages. He has worked as a junior analyst for the fund since 2025, focusing on African and Middle Eastern macro. He also consults for The Diwan, a Kuwait-based forum for economic and social policy in the Middle East.
